Ruari Quinn and the Household Charge

    Ruari Quinn stated in the dail today that people elected members of the dail to "uphold the law!".

    I have just sent him an email:

    Nobody ever elected anyone to public office to "uphold the law."
    We elect people to enact JUST laws and to reflect the will of the people who elected them.

    The household charge is unfair and it is the duty of every elected representative to do all in their power to put a stop to it.
