My current oil burner is 17 years old. It never gave is trouble. The cost of the oil seems to have gone through the roof. I'm thinking of changing to a gas condenser boiler. Do you think it would turn out cheaper in the long run to run then oil??? I think either way I'm going to have to invest in a new boiler.thanks for the advice :)

Hard to say with out seeing it. There is a lot involved to change to gas. Board Gais networks will charge you €280 to put the conection in providing it is with in 15m of the main.

Then getting the gas from the meter to the boiler and if the oil boiler is out side the gas boiler needs to be moved inside.

In the long run it is cheaper but the initial over lay would cost more than if you where to just change your oil boiler for a condensing oil boiler.
