My GF has finally after all these years done something useful in our relationship :D.....she is loaning me the money for a Canon 5D mk III which is due in tomorrow well ahead of what I expected (when compared to the 5D II when it was announced and actually shipped, 6 months later)
So all of a sudden everything is a rush....
One of her conditions is I sell my 5D mk II which I haven't a notion on how much to look for it...but the main reason for this post is I need to find out what the shutter count on it is so I can throw it up onto adverts asap....

just throw it up on adverts .... chances are you'll get offers around the €1500ish mark .... keep us updated on the mkIII ....really wanna get feedback on it - trying to decide between that and the 1D X.

shutter count can easily be worked out/guestimated ... most buyers will make offers anyway.

I can put you in touch with someone looking to purchase a 5D mkII

    Feedback from me!!! :o

I am no expert by a long chalk.... I just outgrew the AF on the mk II, from what I read about the mk 3 it's a very complicated camera...
I am hoping this will reinvent my desire for photography as the last 9 months it has wilted somewhat, cept for gigs.

Install the astro jargon tool it worked for me on the 5d mark ii. The price seems crazy for the mark iii. It's 3500 dollars so why is it 3500 Euro over here?

It's annoying. I was guessing around 2500-2800 body only. No way will I pay 3500.

Hopefully in a year or so it will drop ....

    It's actually not 3500 dollars, it's 3500 + taxes.
If you for example order the 5d mark iii from B&H and get it shipped to Ireland, you will actually pay around 4300 dollar, so not too far off the 3500 Euro (if you compare a small Irish shop to a large worldwide company, which sells probably more cameras in a day than the shop sells in a year).

I'd happily pay 2500. Hopefully in a year magic lantern and sure will be out for it. It seems like an amazing camera. If anyone's looking for a 60d let me know. I suddenly have one for sale :p

It's fantastic, the new AF is deep and rewarding, I am nailing shots that I wouldnt've got with the mk II.
I am only scratching the surface of the mk III but I def love what I'm finding..
