I work a crappy call centre job. I'm on my own all day so the net has really been a boon, keeping me sane. Unfortunately they've twigged that I'm spending all day on Boards and cut my access. I'm sitting here with my brain dribbling out my ears, and my phone battery is about to die. Anyone got any idea what I can do to…

I work a crappy call centre job. I'm on my own all day so the net has really been a boon, keeping me sane. Unfortunately they've twigged that I'm spending all day on Boards and cut my access. I'm sitting here with my brain dribbling out my ears, and my phone battery is about to die.

Anyone got any idea what I can do to stave off terminal boredom till 5?

Actually, using a proxy (until you get caught) is probably a better idea than drawing further attention to your time wasting ways.

Here maybe ye could keep each other company, pass on some tips on how to get through the day.

Have you no charger for your phone? can you borrow one somewhere. I always have the connection to charge my phone of the laptop. be more prepared tomorrow.

I am doing my job. I spend about 6 hours a day on hold so I need something to take my mind off the fact that I've heard Greensleeves 400 times.

I've a part-time job where I literally wait for things to happen so I can tell other people that somethings happened. Its stultifyingly boring in itself, but it does mean I can get paid while I study or browse the web.

Or take up knitting.

Presume it's a smartphone that can be charged by usb, or it's a computer that's plugged in somewhere? Otherwise but a newspaper with a decent crossword.

Presuming you have a smart phone, plug in and tether it your pc, upside is it'll charge your phone and you'll have internet, downside, it will be very slow and probably cost you a sh*t load.

I'm making calls, a cold caller but for businesses, trying to flog software. This means that I get to do the whole ring-hold thing you do, but 150+ times a day.

Anyway I remembered my charger today

Incidentally, if anyone needs an administrator I'm not as lazy as I make myself sound.
