    Hi All,

Basically I graduated from my Masters in November and I can't find work anywhere. I've applied to pretty much every grad program I can find. I have 6 months experience with a Med Devices Company, and 2 months in a hospital biomedical dept. Any roles that come up in the med devices company are for experienced engineers 4+ yrs experience needed. Its the same with ads on IrishJobs/Jobs.ie etc...

I recently had an interview for a jobbridge program and the interviewer told me there were 20+ people going for the same role. What can I do to get more experience?

I'm at the point where I'm driving around industrial estates looking for places to apply to. So frustrating!

    Any replies appreciated

I will probably be in similar circumstance come September. Mech Eng degree with a first and now doing a Masters but I dont feel hopeful for the future in engineering here. I am considering a move to the UK or Canada in September.

There are some jobs out there but the competition is fierce.

Yeah its is looking like most mechanical graduates will have to go overseas for work. There does seems to be a demand in the UK and mainland Europe.

Yeah thinking of the UK and maybe learning a language also for future prospects on the continent.

I am definately going to start learning German again. Germany is still seriously short of engineers.
