Hi, I was wondering if a decision of a fitness to practise committee to not hold an inquiry into the conduct of a dentist can be appealed by the complainant. It doesn’t seem to be set out in the legislation. Also given that the Dental Council is a public body, I assume it’s subject to FOI. What information should I be able to obtain with regard to what was looked at in forming the decision? I would just like to be sure that nothing was overlooked and that a fair process is in place. Thanks, Lexa

    You need a solicitor.
