No, it's not worth it unless you are going camping in England. Or you if speak French/German and camping in France / Germany. These are really for German market, and obsolete for that.

Small dish, semi-obsolete receiver, no HD, no MHEG5, No Freesat auto tuning.

Lidl and Aldi are not the value they were 5 years ago. It's rare now for quality & cheap electronics, though I got a nice universal remote lately.

Get 65cm to 80cm dish and a "Freesat HD" receiver unless you are wanting Mainland Europe pay TV.

The Lidl camping satellite kit is flimsy and of little use unless you're using it for that purpose. The normal Lidl FTA kit isn't too bad as a starter kit, it used to have a good 80cm dish and all the cables needed to get you started. The receiver is basic and very reliable if all you want is now and next epg. They really have let things slide by not having a receiver with an usb recording facility.

I wouldn't put anyone off getting the normal Lidl kit for about €79 as a budget starter kit and adding on to it from there. They can always try it out and bring it back with a full refund if they can't get it to work.
