How to value a car correctly

If I'm breaking the rules here please delete my thread - although my car is not yet for sale, and I'm not linking to it etc in any way.

I just have some questions re what I should sell it for.

Looked at similar motors on donedeal/ carzone and there's a substantial gap between the asking prices, even between those of private sellers.

Feel free to snip the following - but what would you set the asking price as based on the below?

Silver 2006 BMW 320 CD SE
Irish car. 2.0 Diesel, 127k km on the clock.
    Full BMW service history.
New tyres, NCT a few days ago.
All the usual extras, leather interior, steering wheel controls, Parrot Bluetooth phone kit, iphone connection for audio/ charging, air con. Turbo was replaced at 70k km.

No dents/ scratches etc other than a few self repaired tiny paint chips from motorway driving.

What would you put as asking price and what would you sell the car for?

The extra year, 12k less miles and FBMWSH will add a bit so maybe €9500 asking.

I've been on the lookout for a car with similar spec to yours for the last 6 months but with the m-sport pack and leather seats.

Also changing the turbo at 70k would be a bit of a concern- were the swirl flaps removed since?

Turbo failed. Main dealer replaced under warranty.
To be honest I've no idea whether the swirl flaps were removed or not.

They were a apparently a big issue on the pre '04 E46's your one might be OK but if I was buying I'd make sure they were done or the cost of blanking them (€200ish I think) taken into account.

Just spotted you have leather interior too so maybe a bit higher than €9.5 but I wouldn't go over €10k if you want a reasonably quick sale.
Tax left, number of owners and style of alloys could affect it by a few hundred either way too though.

I've been keeping an eye on these for a while and the msport ones over €11k have been on carzone for >6 months with no sign of lowering the price.

Will take that into account, thought the 06 models were safe, must google how I can check (if I can without the help of a mechanic)

Yes, leather interior, might help to sell it, but didn't think it would add much value. One owner before me, I'm the second, she kept it for the first 12 months, I've had it since.
    Pic attached.

Might be just me but if I saw an ad with an election poster and clear blue sky in Cork at this time of year I would think twice about it.
Car looks slighty photoshopped/brushed in that image too.

If I was considering buying I'd rather see a genuine photo.

Best of luck with the sale.

Good spot, it's an old photo as I'm not at home.
When advertising it I'd be giving it a good wash/ wax and taking some fresh pics.
