Old PSP buttons sort of not working

I have an old PSP and the buttons work without games in it. But when I put a game they don't work except for the vol to start buttons are not working. Any ideas on how to fix it or where to fix it if I can't do it myself Thanks

Sounds like there could be dust interfering with the connections OP. I'd suggest opening it up and using compressed air to get rid of the dust.
