Just got English Mock results back and I realise I need to do much more work with my class on Studied Poetry. Was wondering if anybody had notes on Seamus Heaney's Poem 'While all the others'
Im trying to assemble a few notes. I'm under pressure so any help would be appreciated.

I'd be getting your students to do them themselves.

I have to do it myself. TBH I underestimated how much they need to write esp in Honours. A few of my better students asked to do Honours but this is my first time teaching it so really didn't know how much they had to write for studied poetry. I think most teachers provide notes on a few poems.

Could you guide them through how to make notes?
It's frightening how many of the LC forum, who are hopefully heading to third level next Autumn, have no clue as to how to make their own notes.

Not bad advice spurious but at this stage in the year running up against the exam clock. Think its prob a good idea to give them notes six or seven poems and then let them try. Though most teachers while being capable of writing notes, prob use books of notes.
