How long could you go without the internet for?

A day, week, month etc?

I don't think I could even go half a day now without checking the internet on my phone, Kindle or laptop.

I would actually probably read more if I didn't spend so much time on the computer. Boards is especially addictive. I could go longer without most things on the internet but I always have a boards tab open and am browsing...constantly.

It feels like I have friends.

when you say internet do you mean boards or checking email, news etc?

I could easily not log onto the internet for a week.

Everything. Boards, other forums I use, Facebook, email, newspapers ....

You would be amazed how quickly you would forget about it,for most people it just to pass the time. After a few days you would forget if you had other things to occupy you.

The longest i've had to go without was when I was in Aberdeen for a weekend last August, and even then we used the hotel computers to check up on stuff that was uncomfortable, facing the weekend not knowing if I could get online or not. sad to say really. i'm not as bad anymore though.

I once had to reboot my machine, worst 6 mins of my life. Needless to say like any sickness I went away and got a cure. A MacBook pro.

It's more addictive than heroin. Seriously, I have to pull myself away from it. I honestly wish I never got a computer :P. I'm not even sure what the allure is, because I mostly end up talking crap for hours or learning about the Russian revolution on wikipedia, or some other useless stuff.

I went without internet for 3 weeks a while back, the first few days were painful but I began to adjust to life outside the web! I wasn't too pushed when my brother came to fix it (he does this for a living, but he's so busy and being family I'm always left till last!).

But I wasn't long getting back in the habit...

I went for 30 years without the internet. I'm sure I could do it again!

Actually, my parents discovered (obviously) sex without it, otherwise , well, you wouldnt be reading this post!

So, I'm here, internet is good, but I'm sure we all could survive without it for a while..
