Is there any bank that offers the service of a student loan whereby you start paying back once you have graduated and got a job?

    cheers

Similar to the UK loan system? Nothing like that here at the moment I'm afraid, pretty much all the Student Loans from banks are fixed term/rate loans which start repaying as soon as you take the loan out. Credit Unions have a bit more flexibility in arranging repayments but still we have nothing like the UK system here at the moment. Have a shop around though anyway for options

You can get an overdraft with Ulster Bank if your a student, up to €1000 and dont have to pay it back (interest free) until a year after you graduate

I got a loan through AIB for 10k. They told me they were only giving out loans to people with guarantors, which I had. I took it out to do a masters so for the first 18months I have to make interest only payments roughly €20 a week.

Ulster Bank loans are 6.85% variable here:

My local credit union quoted me 10.2%
