After much deliberation I have just about convinced myself into ordering a Sportive Bianco from Ribble. Is there a major difference in these groupsets? If I go with Campag Veloce I would have something left in the budget perhaps for better wheels. But is the 105 a much better groupset that it justifies the price difference. Kinda new to this and have only used Tiagra so any opinion or advice welcome

The 105 would have the same shifting mechanics as your tiagra, whereas the Campag has a thumblever rather than a paddle behind the brake lever that Shimano has, so you'll have to get used to that difference.

Other than that I have no experience with campag.

    Hi,

Bought the Sportive Bianco a few weeks ago...my first road bike so can't compare it to anything else.
Went for the Campag Veloce and Campag khamsin Wheels after some gentle persuasion from a more experienced biking colleague, who has both. Pretty happy with it. The Campag Veloce is very nice, very smooth shifting, bike came well set up and smooth on the back roads. Have briefly ridden a bike with 105 groupset, think I prefer the Campag set up.

You'll find that the Campag will have a longer life span than the Shimano, many tales from bike shops of recent Shimano equipment being 'soft'.
Personally I prefer the Campag thumb shift mechanism over the Shimano style, but you'd be happy with both. I'm riding Ultegra 10x3 on my steel bike and I'm a happy camper with it too.

Cheers for the replies , I'm almost there on Campag. Hurlerx can I ask what frame size you got , your height and how long it took to arrive from placing the order ?
