I wish to change my worktop without having the hassle of pulling it out (disconnection gas & water etc). I have come accross a spray paint solution that gives a marble/granite look. However I am after an oak type appearance. Does anyone know off a tradesman that will supply and fit thin layers of heat proof laminate/veneer to an existing worktop? This seems to be the only alternative available at the moment but finding it impossible to track someone down who provides this kind of service. Appreciate any suggestions or help.Thanks.

As far as i know the veneer or laminate has to applied under pressure which would be possible to do in situ. Have you thought about tiling the worktop?
