Sound barrier fencing

I'm looking to put a fence ontop of a 6 foot wall at back of garden.
Garden backs onto train line, so I'm interested in reducing noise level and adding privacy. (I assume it won't make much difference to sound level but any improvement would do)

Anyone know what type of Fence would be most suitable and where.

    thanks

I may be stating the obvious/or the foolish.

Shouldn't Ianroid Eirainn (spelling, I know) be doing this for you. I mean if they are creating the noise?
I'm all for doing stuff myself and not really for jumping on others to get things done but in this case

or maybe there is a fat chance of them responding?? worth a try?

Fair point alright, although there is a 6 foot wall and trees/bushes in between,

but having dealt with them in the past i'd sooner save my breath.

I'm thinking of making a fence out of cheap decking
