    Hi guys
Looking for an oil tray like the one below. Anyone know anywhere in Dublin that do them? Halfords don't but does anyone know any motor factors in particular that stock them...don't really have the time to be trying random motor factors.

    Thanks

Chop the side off a 5 litre oil drum and lie it down. It does the same thing and also has a pull out spout with a cap on it. (oh and its free) :)

I'm basically looking for the above as I don't want to spill a drop while changing the oil or I'll be in trouble ha

Most motor factors do them. Think I got mine in Southside on the Kylemore road.

Something like this, and a trim from a sharp blade. Sorted.

I put cardboard down too, what with the filter etc not spilling a drop is hard enough sometimes.

City Auto Components in Walkinstown do them 100%. I was in there yesterday and seen them just inside the door

Have the exact one! I got it after using one of those oil trays like a cat litter tray only with a sprout on the corner...Was pouring the oil into an empty oil container when a gust of wind blew it all over the footpath..

It was outside the house so it wasn't too bad...went up to woodies and grabbed too bags of sand..done the trick

Using an old washbasin from the kitchen, never saw the need to spend money on something that does the same when I can do it for free.
And collect the waste oil in empty 5 liter water bottles, they screw shut and my local dump takes them off my hands.
While we're at it: Cut the top off empty water or soft drink bottles and you'll never need another funnel again.
And milk bottles to store various fluids (in my case mostly petrol and two stroke oil).
Always put cardboard down and use cat litter for any spillages.
All the above work exactly as they're non-free equivalents, unless you're a commercial garage and are concerned about projecting an image of professionalism, there's no reason in the world to spend money on these things.
