Anyone else here apply for UCAS this year? I'm still waiting on hearing from all my choices. I know they say they normally send out their offers before April but has anyone heard from their choices?

English students seem to be getting theirs at the moment, though I'm waiting on the Scottish universities.

When did you apply? Did you apply for 5?

I applied last year as well and sent mine near the deadline I heard back from most by the end of March .

What kind of courses did you apply for OP?

I applied to five midwifery courses and have been rejected by three, interviewed by one and heard nothing from the other. Nursing and midwifery have interviews and entrance exams, and the universities are waiting to hear from the health authorities how many places they can offer, so it always takes longer to get a decision.

As long as your application was received on time, just be patient I think.
    Best of luck.

I heard from 3 of mine last month and heard from Edinburgh just a few days ago. I hadn't heard from Dundee but I cancelled that. I was starting to worry about Edinburgh but got an offer - your universities probably just have a lot of applications to deal with.

Im just back from visiting a friend in Dundee today, he is in first year and told me he didn't get his offers until May...

Everywhere seems to be different, I've got DCU deferred from last year but after spending the weekend in Scotland I would love to study there! Fingers crossed...

@mysteriouschic - they are all IT related courses

Web Technologies - Napier University, Edinburgh
Computer Science - Napier University, Edinburgh
Computer Science - University of Aberdeen
    Computer Science - Heriot-Watt Edinburgh
Computer Science - University of Stirling

It just works out alot cheaper for me to go to Scotland since I've already done first year in UCC back in 2006, so wouldn't have €7,000 to pay upfront! Do you know if they have an equivalent to our registration fees?

The EU countries are charged the same fees as the scottish I think they can offer grants too not quite sure. So Ireland counts as that but not the rest of the uk and northern ireland.

All my courses are in England so I need to pay the 8,500 x4 . The courses are a lot better suited to me and seem more interesting more what I want. An my course they are constantly updating the course to make it better.
I'm hoping to go to a university in Newcastle .
The courses over there do seem better don't they?
Did you apply to any irish unis again? I only have 3 courses down.

I applied with five choices about a week after the January deadline. I received a rejection for one and two conditional acceptances around the start of March. Last week I received a unconditional acceptance for one and I still havent heard anything from the fifth. Dont know a whole lot about the application process but the offers seem to come out over the course of a good few months.

Don't panic, the offers come in dribs and drabs. I applied last year in mid November and was still waiting on some offers post March. My number one choice was the last one to get back to me!

If you have applied through UCAS extra (i.e after the closing date) its a good idea to contact the admissions to see if you're application has been received. Just as a follow up. Also have a good look at the university website and try and find the name of the admissions tutor for your course. I have worked at open and visit days for my health science course and it seems that admissions tutors are quite happy to discuss the progress of the application and even accept extra information from you. Last year when applying I sent in extra evidence that I had completed work experience and even wrote a little essay about what I had learned from the day and about the career.

I got one of my offers today, 2 still haven't replied so it's all looking good! I'm absolutely ecstatic especially considering the registration fees here would cost me a fortune and how bthey are going to rise again over the next few years!
