Very young couple (under 20) moved into apartment next door. She is expecting a baby, they have a st Bernard dog also. Which barks alot, if bark too if i was a huge dog in a little space. My complaint is they row almost ever day/night, we all have a little tiff but this is yere solid roaring at each other, cannot be healthy for the baby or the couple. Anyway they're preferred time to let loose is approx 11.00pm just when I am I. The cusp of sleepy time it's like wod war 3 beside me, they're bedroom must be next to ours. God love them I just thumped the wall a few times I got so angry( this is going on for 2 mths). Anyway they stopped should I feel bad when I see them in the driveway, awkward!!

Tell them if they don't quieten down, you'll smash all their windows.

    It generally works for me.

At least you're safe in the knowledge that you'll have a screaming baby to add to the noise in a few months time

My neighbours are obediantly quiet. Because if they loudly flaunted their stupid selves they know I wouldn't even have to up my game to utterly dominate them - they actually are the simpsons I think, its uncanny.. marges blue beehive is not really plausible though so the ould wan falls short and they know I wouldn't permit a dog anyhow

Didn't even think of that, feel sorry for them. They're so young an obviously not suited as they're constantly fighting viciously, although she seems to be the one doing most of the yelling it must be hard. Bringing a baby into the mix will hardly improve their situation. Note to self must invest in industrial grade earplugs!

I would report them to the RSPCA, it's cruel to have a St Bernard dog in a small apartment.

Hahaha I would love obediently quiet neighbours , the simpsons ..... Hilarious, this poor mutt isn't Santas little helper either, he's bigger than my car and spends most of his day staring out the second story window. Big furry glum head on him.

Under 20? Get one of those high pitched things only teenagers can hear and 'smack my pitch up' on them.

Very true but he seems well looked after otherwise, they take him out to do his business periodically but don't see him going any further, will monitor situation.

If you're feeling bad about starting a thread on them then yes you should feel bad.

If it's about banging on the wall I'd suggest you've bigger problems within yourself (read above).

it woud also be kinder to rehouse the dog with people who arent verbaly agressive,in such a small agressive environment, poor dog woud be made crazy by the baby arrival and he woud then be sent to doggy death row for biting the baby once that comes along as well.
RSPCA are very hit or miss as to whether they come out to reports,we have tried to get them out to some injured wild animals before, but theyre worth a go,it depends on the area and how busy they are.

    OP,
have a look on the internet for good quality cat meows/yowls/hisses,loop them.
find out when the neighbours bedtime is,and play the cat meows up next to the wall with as good speakers as possible so rover/max/duke/fido keeps them awake.
    and keep doing it.

alternatively, put a large coloured add in their local newspaper/one they read of a dog like theirs for sale, saying it is from a noisy environment,or offer their flat for sale.

well.. Your predicament is very different. I've not even got one, and that dog sounds miserable for it too. Don't get into loudness wars probs not good advice besides my neighbours are ok long as I don't hear their view on the arts, or politics or that just strictly wheelie bins .. maybe yours need a demonstration of how loud your personality can be as you can get these "big character"s for neighbours sometimes. Or as neighbours, rather, which is not right
