    Hi

    I've been looking at buying a touring bike for an up coming trip in france and spain and came across this dawes super galaxy for sale from a shop in britian for £980 sterling.
    So i have a few questions.
    Is it good value?.
    Are the components good?.
    Would another bike be better at that price?

    Yeah its a good quality bike. For that kind of price range, you could also look at a Surly Long Haul Trucker or a Thorn Sherpa. But the Dawes will have everything you need for touring.

    Great value bikes from Dawes. Components are decent. Personally I see no need for overkill on a tourer.

    I bought the Ultra Galaxy last year and love it. I've only used it once so far for touring but also use it every now and again for cycling to work.

    I changed the handlebars from drops to butterfly as I preferred them for touring.
