Ryanair : can we bring a collapsible buggy for 3 year old free?

We are traveling to Budapest tomorrow with Ryanair with our 3 year old. We paid full fare for him, and we were wondering if we get to bring a collapsible buggy for free. The Ryanair website says a collapsible buggy can be brought free for an INFANT (under 2 years) but is very unclear about a buggy for a 3 year old who's paid full fare.

Any one done this? Any advice appreciated.

If it's free for an infant under 2 then you should assume it's not free for an infant over 2.

Whether or not they will actually charge you is anyone's guess.

We brought one for our daughter last time we travelled on Ryanair, she was about 28 months old at the time, so it may be that they let it go as she looked young enough.

It might be no harm to contact them to see, I've never seen anyone with a buggy charged for carriage, however I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they were to charge.

We've never had an issue with a buggy with Ryanair, irrespective of the age of its occupant. Which is just as well as it's no fun making a 3-year old walk the 1km+ from the ass end of terminal that we invariably end up in! Safe travels

Just back from Budapest and very glad to report that Ryanair took the buggy no problem whatsoever!! In fact they were brilliant about it and I'd definitely recommend them for traveling with a 2 year old.

Thanks for all the replies above.

Now back to this horrible weather ...

    Hiya Toadvine,
Did you bring a car seat with you for your toddler, we are traveling next may with a 2 year old and a 4 year old and want to bring both their car seats. Each will have a fully paid seat on flight. Ryanair are so hard to contact about this stuff. Any info is greatly appreciated

You've to pay for a car seat with Ryanair....it's on their fares and charges page on their website...think it's 20 euros per seat per journey.
