Yeast and Wheat Free Alcohol

I have recently discovered that I have an intolerance to both wheat and yeast. Are there any alcoholic drinks out there which are both wheat and yeast free.

Some forums say that spirits contain little or no yeast or wheat whereas others state that all alcohol has both yeast and wheat.

Anyone out there know what's correct

A number of the macro beer are near sterile filtered and don't contain wheat, this issue is with soluble parts yeast that's not possible to filter out, enzyme like invertase and cell wall proteins and other proteins that a excreted by yeast during metabolism may cause you trouble.

There should be no issue with sprites as the distilled spirits as the process will remove any wheat or yeast components that you will have an issue with

I know someone who has a yeast intolerance and drinks the anti-beer that is Coors light.

Theres probably as much yeast in Coors Light as any of the other 4%~ lagers. I myself have an yeast intolerance, but just drink the normal beers and put up with it. Its certainly not pleasant but at the same time I don't want to give up on the gargle.
I've stopped eating bread, that kinda stuff for crackerbread. Afaik all drinks need yeast to grow alcohol, and a clear clean vodka is the "best" solution however I don't drink spirits and have no interest in starting (I like my lagers :) ).
Any drink be it beers, wines, ciders, spirits will have yeast though, just something that can't be avoided if you want alcohol

Spirits are distilled so all the yeast is left behind, just like salt is left behind if you distil seawater.

The only way yeast would get back in is if it was added back, same with sugar and colour.

What are the effects of yeast intolerance?

Bloating mainly, can also cause ibs which isn't a nice feeling at all. Can also make you feel sick, stomach cramps etc. Its more than your average hangover put it that way ;) and small amounts can trigger it if bad.
I know some spirits don't have yeast, but I was told many of them do, especially the cheaper ones.

I recently found out i also have a minor intolerence to wheat, and symptons are far far worse when i drink beer. ( i get all muccussy and wheezy).

I discovered Estrella duara, gluten free beer. I can drink this no problem and will be taking it for a proper test drive this weekend when i am having family over for a Confirmation. It is available in Dunnes and Tesco, on offer in both but Tescos offer is stronger

I dont know if this will help with your yeast intolerence tho.
