im trying to make a photobook for my parents wedding anniversary and i thought i could just scan in the photos and they would just come up like normal pics but they just come up like a blank page with the picture in the corner and i cant get it to come up like a picture to upload to the photobook. I havent a clue about computers and i probably sound stupid but i need help if someone could explain it simply, what i need to do that would be great. i have the HP Deskjet 2050.. thank you!

What scanning software are you using? Something that came with the scanner?

    Here's the manual

If you're using the Scanner and Camera Wizard in Windows, preview the picture before saving it to a file.

Click the "Preview" button, and after the preview scan is complete it should crop automatically to the photo. If it doesn't drag the four boxes to the boundary of your picture. Preview the scan again to make sure you're happy, and then press the "Scan" button to continue saving it to a file.
