Your Fantasy Football Career

What would it be? I'll get the ball rolling. Firstly I'm a United fan.

My position is midfield, attack minded.
Start with UCD League Of Ireland player on a scholarship at 17. Does three year degree and move to Fulham. One season there, prove my worth. Sizable money move to United. Eight years there, two CL and six titles, a couple of other assorted pots. At 28 after a bust up with the manager I am sold to Bayern Munich. Two league titles and a CL. Move to Atletico Madrid. Forest season beat Real in a Copa Del Rey Final. The next season after helping them to third in the Lague Atletico go to the CL. Walk the group and early knock outs. Meet Real in a semi. Score the winning goal in the Calderon with little or no time left, beat Liverpool in the final 4-1.

Leave European football for the MLS. See out my days with Chicago Fire. Get fat.

    What is your career?

Get Kilkenny City back up and running. Win the Champions League with them.

Win the World Cup and European Championships with Ireland. Possibly even the Nations Cup as well if we are really lucky.

Move to Man United. Win the treble 5 years in a row with them.

Then move to Real. One treble there. Possibly a move to Barca, and maybe a sneaky treble there as well.

Finish off my days playing for Juventus. I'd settle for the double there.

Went for trials at Liverpool, impressed but turned down due to bad attitude.

Played a couple of season youth football back home before packing it in due to injuries and training cutting in on drinking time.

Remind kids today that "I could have made it".

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Wins breakfast cereal competition to manager Liverpool for a day, the board are so impressed as Manchester Utd are beaten 7-0 I'm offered a full time contract on 5 million a year. I tell them I'll do it for 'bed and breakfast' with a cottage on the Wirral for the off season and when I retire.

I generally start with good intentions, promise to keep an eye on my team and potential signings with great stats, make subs and transfers when necessary. But after a few weeks i always get bored and forget about it and let my team wither away.

So to conclude, my FF career so far has been one of mediocrity. No high rankings, no prizes, no glory.

Dead at 30 in a blaze of women, fried-banana sandwiches and cash, my remains launched into the sun via rocket.

As for the football side of things.....emm, squad player at Accrington Stanley I guess.

This thread would be perfectly normal if everyone was around 12 years old. While I don't doubt some of people on this forum are that age based on the shite they post, the rest of ye should be embarrassed if ye reply to this thread! :P

Wow I though a bit of light hearted guff might do well here. Obviously not. I guess I never realized you all took our jobs as professional keyboard warriors so seriously. I suppose I should have known better that so few of you would have ever considered the game to exist outside the realm of football manager..

The question gets raised among my mates during the odd pub based football discussion. The reason it usually does is to see what club you could play for regardless of who you support if you must know. It evolved from there and gave me and my friends many's the good laugh.

It is childish, no doubt but it's just a bit of craic. If any of you were seriously affected by the thread please pm me and we can arrange a compensation package of a diet and fitness plan for you.

You could have just posted in the U-12s Team Talk/Gossip/Rumours Thread 11/12 and we'd probably have ignored it.

Don't take it to heart all the same, head down work hard and another generic cliché and I'm sure you'll realise those dreams of lining out at Craven Cottage before long. ;)

Salthill Devon - one season on the left wing, signed at age 35.

Tottenham - signed summer 2012 as replacement for Gareth Bale. Moved to left-back due to slowdown in pace. 25 assists and 8 goals, PFA player of the year, bring Spurs the title and Champions League.

    </wake up in my cornflakes.>
