    Hey, quick question.

I'm working St. Patrick's Day, as it's our store's busiest day of the year. Are we entitled to double time on that day (Saturday) or are they allowed to carry it forward to the Monday?

Is it a normal working day for you, Saturday? They can give a day in lieu

Yes, it's a normal working day. They don't do days in lieu. They just do double time for bank holiday work, which is why I'm wondering if I'd get double time for Saturday or the following Monday.

Most employees are entitled to paid leave on public holidays. One exception is part-time employees who have not worked for their employer at least 40 hours in total in the 5 weeks before the public holiday.

Employees who qualify will be entitled to one of the following:
•A paid day off on the public holiday
•An additional day of annual leave
    •An additional day's pay
•A paid day off within a month of the public holiday

The saturday is the bank holiday and as such you will be entitled to your bank holiday warking rates for that day.

you should also be entitled to your public holiday entitlement so long as you quailify which is
