Chill.ie and Brittons would be worth getting in touch with, likewise insure.ie.

Try the QuoteMe.ie website . They also have a branch in Navan.

Get out the goldenpages (if such a thing even still exists?!!) and look up the smaller brokers in your area. The best quote I got by far was from a local broker in Clane; they came in at less than half the price of the quotes I was getting from the likes of Britton (albeit with a limited selection of choice given the car I drive).

if going through broker or internet - check the small print

otherwise the small print gets VERY BIG if ya have an issue/claims, excess normally very high to give you low premium at start of policy but could take €500 off the cost of you car i event of accidental damage (comp claim)

PS...DJIMI - what's ur car that leaves you resticted in cover ? curuisity

im shopping around again very soon.

1 year no claim and axa and the likes all still was 2K + off me

    britton said €1200 ! :pac:

tried all the likes of chill and 123.ie and so on

I used AA for insurance this year as they are brokers and they beat the 6 quotes off other companies i got, and i ensured the excess was low and it included windscreen cover and roadside etc etc.

Type R Integra. Most insurers wont touch them.

i see ur dilema , if its not modified beyond the spec it left garage they are acceptable but some drivers think remapping & not upgrading brakes to stop the more power is ok. DJIMI - PM me when due for renewal and i'll run rates thru, worked for Honda in the past

Id recommend 'First Ireland' insurance broker. They have beat everyone on my quotes the last x3 years running.

    M3.

I use www.firstireland.ie - good value for money and always match quotes I find when I shop around. This will be my fourth year with them.

The only advice to follow, as previously mentioned, get out the yellow pages and google. Ring as many as you have the patience for. They will all have different discounts with different insurers for different risk categories.

Cheers lads will try that now, Now another question for ye.

My insurance is up on the 24th, but thats a bit of a pain to renew monthly as i get paid the last friday of every month so my payday can sometimes overshoot the renewal date.

Do you know if you can change the payement date for the renewal?

Im sure you can if you explain to them. Im pretty sure I was asked what day suited me for payment when I renewed last.
