    Do snipe flock like Starlings?

Pretty sure I saw one in the distance and with the bins they looked like snipe.

There were several hundred birds and they were flying in close formation like a murmuration.

Might it have been a woodcock? They are really active near me at the moment and the time of day (evening) would be right

Quite possibly. Had to look for an image on google. I'll keep an eye out.

    Thanks.

Was going to mention Plover as well - they make that same kind of angular shape.
