Bank holiday question, regarding Tuesday payments

My JSA payment is officially available every Tuesday. However, it's always collectible on the Monday.

I have collected this week's payment. Will next weeks payment be available before this bank holiday weekend?

I dont know for sure.....you could always check with your post office on friday. But i wouldnt rely on it. The vast majority of payments cannot be collected the day before as in your case. You are looking for a tuesday payment on a friday and even with the bank holiday I dont think this will happen.

lisar are you sure? just wondering cuz i get paid tuesday as well and had to pay a massive esb bill along with rent and broadband and so i'm broke already. it'll be a pintless Paddy's day for me unless it does come in on friday.

can anyone confirm this? i didn't know i could pick it up on monday either...

yes I'm sure my payment is normally Tuesday but i can collect Monday and any payment that is always there Monday will be there Friday because of the bank holiday weekend

my payment is on a wednesday and I have NEVER been able to pick it up on a tuesday. The only thing you can do it check tomorrow and see if its through.

yes i used to get payed on wednesdays when i was collecting jsb and could never collect it on tuesday

dont no why we can collect on mondays maybe every one gets payed mondays and they just tell people tuesdays to keep the post offices less busy not sure?

maybe that explains it....those on job seekers allowance as opposed to benefit, can collect earlier?

But tell me what happens if it isnt there tomorrow like you are all hoping?
having it in the post office a day early is one thing, but 4 days early? it'd mean 2 payments in one week and a week with none at all. You are obviously better at budgeting than I am.

I reckon different payments have different days so that post offices know roughly how much money they would need on any given day.

i wont be collecting tomorrow as i will have no money the following week and my partner works so i will be ok I'm just answering the op's question

when i was collecting on monday a person asked the cashier will we be able to collect friday and she said yes as they were closed saturday and monday

yes you can i get mine on tuesday but i collect it monday and on a bank holiday i can get it saturday so i assume u can since post office shut saturday

An Post have agreed to make payments due on Tuesday of next week available on Friday.

I know it'll be there tomorrow but will it still be there on Tuesday if its not collected tomorrow?

on welfare.ie it has the following info, says Monday payments will be in on Friday, says nothing about Tuesday payments.

never tought of that i wasnt going to collect untill tuesday but im sure it should be there

Am a Tuesday person all ways have for the past 10 year and ave been getting it on a Saturday when it's been a bank holiday

Any how signs in a Thursday will get payed as normal if it's not a bank holiday if it a bank holiday it be a Saturday
Bit if u got a bank account it be in on a Saturday a post office account as normal it depends on where u live

A hope this will be useful as I have been in jsa for the last 10 year's

Friday or a Saturday morning. Saturday the post office is closed at 1pm. You're better off going down and seeing is it there. I do. And I'm right everytime. Good luck.
