Considering making an offer for this car, does anyone have any opinions? I've read up on the headgasket issues, however this car has had the upgraded HG kit installed so shouldn't be an issue really. Anything else I should consider? Is this a reasonable price? Are parts handy enough to pick up?

I love how almost every car listed these days has something about the timing belt, etc. having just been done. Are we to really take it that in all cases, these sellers have spent hundreds of Euro on an improvement only to sell the car for €2k?

Personally, I would not touch a car like the one you've listed unless I was handy around cars, or had someone available know was proficient.

This owner didn't do the HG, the previous owner (a rover mechanic) did. So probably did so at a cost far less than the average punter.

    Is it not a 105+ being a 1.4?

Great color and not a hatch. All plus points

I'd say you're right, must be a typo.

I really like that car and was close to buying one once. From all the research I done, the head gasket was the only real worry.

Lovely car, decent interior as well which isnt shown in the snaps on the ad.

i thought all facelifted cars had the upgraded gasket fitted from new?
the rear end looks a bit funny with all the badges missing.

still a lovely car and a nice alternative, i'd love one.

wouldn't expect great fuel economy though...

AFAIK, and I could be wrong, the very late cars like that had the uprated HG from new
