hey , ive a Fujitsu amilio laptop with a cracked screen and Im just wondering is it an awkward job to replace the screen , or would I be better paying someone to do it ?

also ive checked on ebay and the screens are about 80/90 up ... are there any cheaper screens out there?

    thanks in advance...

it's relativity easy to replace the screen... usually only involves unscrewing a few screws and removing a plastic bezel.. if you decide to DIY be careful taking off the plastic and remember which screws go where usually I make a simple diagram to see where each screw goes...also take the screen out first before you buy a replacement and note the position of the connector as sometimes the 2 of the same laptop might have different hardware happened to me before..saves you having to buy 2 screens...ebay is the handiest usually ... I usually just google the make of the laptop and screen and see what i can find i have a few places that do parts but they're bookmarked on my laptop so i'll post them later..jsut be careful of everything mentioned above and of postage costs
