Logitech z506 5.1 speakers connected through a single 3.5mm jack?

    I'm thinking of getting a set of Logitech z506 5.1 speakers.
    I don't have a 5.1 sound card in my computer (do plan on getting one.)
    What I want to know is that if I plug just the green 3.5mm jack into my PC or ipod , will sound come out of all five speakers? I know it won't be in 5.1 surround sound, I just want music to come out of them all for the time being.

    Can anyone confirm would this work ok?

    Hi. I came across this when checking what connections it'd take before getting one myself:

    According to page 8 it should be fine.
    You'll have stereo sound.

    It wont come out all 5 but it will come out the 2 main speakers

    bit late everyone!
    Speakers arrived a three weeks ago! Sound comes out all 5 through a single aux cable...i do plan to get a 5.1 sound card soon though

    Quality of sound is brilliant, very happy with purchase
