    Hi everyone,

I want to get my brother an America's Game box set for his birthday at the end of this month. However, I don't know where to get it, how much it is or what is the most recent one!!!

Can anyone offer me some pointers!!!??

    Cheers

    :)

Well your best bet is to get it on Amazon for starters (the .com version, not the .co.uk version). That's where you'll get it the cheapest. The problem is you'll need a multi region DVD Player to play it (or have your laptop set to play Region 1 (US + Canada) DVDs). Most laptops allow you to change the region it plays manually, but you can only do it 5 times. Most DVD players these days are multi region and they're dead cheap anyway.

As for the DVD itself, it depends what your budget is and how much your brother means to you! :P

The complete box set was released a few years ago. It's 40 Discs and covers Superbowl I to Superbowl XL (2005). It doesn't include any Superbowls after that, but they're something he can add to his collection himself. The cheapest I can find that will ship to Ireland is from the seller Mirmedia on this page. $128 delivered which is just under €100.

Alternatively, you can but individual years, or box sets for individual teams. Does he have a favourite team that you'd rather buy their box set, or are you gonna be the best sibling in the world and buy him the full set above? ;)

(Well worth the investment, best DVD collection I've ever bought!)

Alternatively you could direct your brother to YouTube and tell him to search any America's Game episode he wants because he can find it on a channel by the name of "YooTubeMee".

Obviously if you want to be generous you can buy him the boxset but this channel is still worth checking out as it has the Missing Rings episodes too, as well as some of the Hard Knocks episodes (the channel has the Cowboys, the Jaguars and the Ravens if he is interested in any of them.)

Just thought I'd share that, people might like to check out the channel, I personally love it! :)

Started watching America's game. Have watched 2000 to 2004 already. Can anyone recommend the best episodes to watch or which ones to avoid?

Loved 2000 and 01. 02 to 04 not so much although partly that might be Pats overkill!

I really liked the Packers one in 1996, the Chiefs one in 1969, and the Raiders ones in 1976 and 1980. The Colts 2006 one was also very good. There's one for each decade. Don't forget to watch the missing rings too.
