anti roll bar bushes and links

    The anti roll bar bushing are the ones in the top of the photo, the drop links are the ones on the bottom.
    It sounds like all need to replaced.
    Some drop links are not repairable and need to be replaced. It's a DIY job if you're handy with the spanners.

    grand then i got it right i ordered all the parts already.
    i wonder are the bushes difficult on an E39 bmw , i only saw one bolt when i had a look.

    I'm not familiar with your car, some have two bolts, others have one and the other side of he clamp is just hooked in.

    Not a particularly taxing job, but can be a little awkward getting access and compressing the anti roll bar bushes into their clamps when refitting new bushes if you aren's used to them. Also word of warning, quite easy to cross thread the bolts for the bushes themselves when refitting. Worth a go yourself on a sunny afternoon.

    I had the same a couple of weeks ago, replace them all, have a go yourself, I did mine and wasnt too hard to do..
