    Hi Guys

Currently driving a 06 peugeot 207 1.4 diesel. Car has been brilliant over last 3 years and hasn't given me a problem. Just wondering whether it would be worthwhile to change the car to a newer version or something similar this year. i'm just thinking of the trade in value really. It's already low enough. I'd imagine i'd get very little in a year or two's time. I can afford to change it if i want. Any advice ?

a car like that in good condition should hold its value really well. small diesels are where the money is at at the moment i think.

You'd change the car because it'll be worth less in a year or two? I'm not trying to be smart but that makes no sense whatsoever, you're paying more in depreciation on the newer car than you'd be paying on the old one. It costs you more over time. 'Sell while it's still worth something' is not a reason to change for a more expensive, newer car.

If you feel like a new car and can afford it, knock yourself out. You'll sell that car privately very quickly I'd imagine, depending on the condition. If you want to trade in, don't get short changed by a Dealer - they can shift that car very very easily.
