It would have to be very bad not to be worth €19 :)

I think a Torque wrench is something that you should be prepared to pay more for, it is not like a spanner in that you want it to do a very specific thing. It could be fine but I would go with a trusted brand for this.

I got one from lidl a year ago (exact same), the one time I needed it for the sump plug the recommended torque was 35Nm and the wrench only goes down to 42Nm :(

The brother in law uses it more than me now.

That Torque wrench is aimed at wheel studs. It comes with 17/19 and 21 mm sockets which are common wheelnut sizes.

I used one of these for larger jobs such as wheel nuts as stated.

I picked up a smaller torque wrench from Amazon for about £20 (Draper) for smaller jobs.

Would you have a link by any chance?

It clearly states in the ad that it goes from 42Nm up - why complain about it now?

The vast majority of 1/2" drive torque wrenches start more or less there, if you need somethging for lower settings you're looking at precision tools that cost $$$.

I have that torque wrench and its great. Works just fine and I check with a really expensive one and the torqued bolts were as tight as they should be. Its a heavy and quality looking item. I also have socket sets, hammers, hoovers, power washers, drills from aldi and lidl and never had a days problem. Have a drawer full of broken black and deckers on the other hand.

I have one I use as a breaker bar for taking apart bits of tractors. I have put serious effort into trying to break the ratchet mechanism, no luck so far!

Not complaining, just pointing out to the op that there are simple items on the car that come in below this range.

Black and Decker stuff is rubbish, just because they advertise on 'de telly' people are under some illusion that they are quality products. No workshop I've ever been in has Black and Decker tools

I had the Aldi socket set and it was spot on for what I wanted it for at the time. After a while of heavy use the teeth in the sockets were breaking up. Perfect for a home user though
