Not trying to be funny, but why leave it until you get over there to buy it? Post offices in Ireland are selling it commission free.

Isn't there a bureau de change on the ferry no?

    How do you mean spread?

The difference between the buy and the sell. The wider it is the more money is made on the transaction by the broker (bank, post office etc..,). That's the theory anyhow.

Having no commission in itself means very little if the commission is accounted for in the spread, or in simple terms if the price to buy somewhere plus their commission is less than the price to buy in a post office with no commission, then your not better off at the post office.

Anyhow, I always fine the ATM in the UK the best. Safe, secure and who cares about the few quid commission :)

I'd be very wary of backing any horse that's already run 22 times in 1 season!
