    The subject of door to door salespeople calling to your house to try and get you to change your utility supplier has been discussed here repeatedly. Here is how the UK regulator treats such practices


    Energy giant EDF to pay paltry £50 to households conned in cold-call scandal

    • French-owned energy company will pay out £3.5m to vulnerable customers rather than face larger fine
    • EDF will also make £1m donation to Citizens Advice for energy advice campaign
