I have a feeling the answer is no, its a bit of a pain before switching account I have to disconnect and close Meteor and reopen it in other account.

Just disconnecting is not enough, is there any workaround.

I imagine the connection is established directly an account not to the provider then to an account.

So logically it can only be connected to a different account by first disconnecting then reconnecting to a different account.

your OP is not very clear on what you want to do.

if your trying to share a meteor usb dongle over a network yes it is possible

on PC1 install the dongle software as normal

plug your lan socket on PC1 into your router

then on your network connection control panel right click on the meteor connection and share it.

NOTE: the ip address of PC1

it will be something like 192.168.137.1

THIS is your default gateway address

now on PC2 open up your network connections and set the ip4 to static

    set it to 192.168.137.2
    set subnet mask to 255.255.255.0
    set default gateway to 192.168.137.1
set primary and secondary dns to one of the public dns servers

    google's is Primary = 8.8.8.8 and Secondary = 8.8.4.4

repeat this on any other PC you have but set the static address to 192.168.137.3 then 4 and so on for each additional PC your adding.

your PC1 must be left on all the time for the others to work.

but thats how you share a 3g dongle over the lan

Have you Nothingbetter2d that's just fried my brain:D

seriously though, I use my admin account for serious stuff and when bored outa my tree and surfing around I use a user account for security reasons, so that in the event I get attacked I can always delete the account.

All I would like to be able to do is that after switching from admin to user account, the BB connection is not dropped.

Do you mean you log out from Admin account and log into User Account?

I call it switching, what happens is this,

when in admin a/c and I press the windows button +L then instantly I'm back in the main window's logon screen and have option to sign into user a/c or back to admin a/c

When I return to admin a/c I'm there where I left off, no waiting for my settings to load so I haven't logged off.

The only way I can have BB access in user a/c is, when in admin a/c first disconnecting AND exiting Meteor.

I never bother doing any of that switching, I never leave the User Account, if I want to do something that needs Admin rights it'll ask for the password, tap it in, carry on, no interference with BB connection.

And I'm using one of those crap dongles
