Hi everybody. I'm currently having a problem with deleting/formatting/clearing/etc. a partition that I've created before to install my OS. I've done the installation properly before and I had problems with it and all that so I just decided to install my OS into a separate hard drive. Now that I am not using the win7 in the partition(although I believe I can still open it up), I just want to clear it up and merge it with the other partition of the same hard drive to create more space. But now that I try to do anything at all with it, any of the partition software including disk management of windows, seem to grey out the option of deleting/formatting the partition. Any help would do. Thanks a lot guys :D

You have made the partition think its a another drive so you cant do it using Windows diak Management you will have to use a software called MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition 7.1

Hopefully this will help you out !

handiest partition editor i find is Gparted live cd..it comes in its own little distro or comes with Ubuntu. just make sure you shut down properly so the drive is not in use

Would these softwares that you guys have told me be by any chance almost the same as Paragon partition manager? Because I've tried paragon partition manager, and I've also tried EaseUS and they both don't work. Do you think that those softwares that you've told me will work differently? Thanks for the help :D

well i've never come across a HDD i couldn't format with Gparted..You need to shut down windows then boot using a live cd or USB. if you decide to use gparted live cd either burn the iso to a CD or use Unetbootin to put it on a USB flash drive. if you try to do it from windows it will not work because the device will be in use.

If you are running the Windows 7 and intend to delete the partition which contains the OS, you can not do such task although using any powerful partition software.
Only you have multiple OSs, you could run any one (Expect this Windows 7) you could delete the partition. (:
