How to fix Roaming indicator numbers ported from another network?

    Hi,

    I'm not sure whether this belongs better to the Tesco Mobile thread or not:

    On a Samsung Galaxy S2 and an HTC Sensation phone which have SIM cards for Tesco Mobile, whose numbers were ported from O2, the two Android phones show an 'R' symbol for roaming even when on the Tesco Mobile network. (Both numbers are 086 but were ported to Tesco Mobile).

    Is there a way to fix this so that a roaming indicator only appears for 'real' roaming? Otherwise it's impossible to tell (for example) when one roams on to a network in the North, or to disable data usage when roaming.

    Apologies if this has been asked before! Both phones are on Android 2.3.3.

    I don't think so as technically you are roaming on O2's network on Tesco Mobile.
