Advice please... Northern Italy and Croatia on a budget

Hi there, can anyone advise the best way to see the cities of Florence, Verona and Venice and then cross over to croatia either over land through Slovenia or by ferry? Ideally we would like to do Italy on a budget and save for a nice hotel in Croatia to finish off the holiday. We have approx 10-14 days.... Too rushed…

i know that if u get an interrailing ticket u can cross the waters by ferry for free or else its 30% off ... either way its cheeper. im going interrailing later in the year and will be visiting these places too could u give me a heads up on places to see etc when ur back please ?
