    Hi,
I got a samsung android (galaxy) recently. It connected to my google account and brought over all my contacts from it. I can't remember exactly what I did but it's connected. Now, when I go to make a call there are 100's of names in my contact list. It's head recking. I could go through them all and start deleting. But what if there's someone I want in my email list but not in my phone list.

I want your tips on how you organise yoru contacts for your Android phone.

I am with the three network.

    Many thanks

Just open the phone dialer and type the persons name, it will not sort through contacts without a phone number associated with them. Same with an email etc. Type in the name and it will only offer contacts with email addresses...

Tim, copy all your PHONE and SIM contacts to GOOGLE.

Then set your phone to show GOOGLE contacts only and contacts with number only. (You'll find in your phone settings.)

After you have done this you may find you have duplicates.

Go to https://www.google.com/contacts on you PC/Lappy and you can auto-detect duplicates and 'merge' them or you can just do it manually.

If you use Google for storing your contacts then it's very easy to transfer them to new phone if you ever need to.

Hide contacts without phone numbers is handy too, and the groups.
