sound is obviously important but mainly I am looking for reasonably priced headphones that will not break (usually mine become faulty around the jack after a few months).

I have gone through a crazy amount of headphones over the last few years so:
    - in ear headphones, under €50 with alright sound that will last?

    Can anybody help me out?

NO earphone will last unless you care for it properly. fold up and store in a soft pouch as opposed to left wrapped around a player. that strains the jack and breaks it.

soundmagic e30 is a good earphone.

www.focalprice.com if you can wait 3 weeks for a cheap price.

www.zococity.es for more expensive but quicker.
