    What is the right oil for an mk2 punto and much goes into it. Can I just add the oil with changing the filter.

    You can certainly top up oil between changes, but the filter needs to be changed at intervals along with all the oil.

    10W40 semi synthetic is what your car takes (assuming 1.2 8 valve)

    You'll also need a 12mm allen key type socket for getting the sump plug off.

    I have a set of normal Allen keys. Would they do.

    Probably not as most standard sets don't incude 12mm.
    Are you anywhere near Dublin? I could give you lend of it.

    No where near dublin. Motor factors around here don't open on sundays. So I won't be doing it today. Its gone over 6000 miles its due service

    Sumb bung is a 12mm allen bung type (unless changed due to damage etc)

    Get a new filter!!!

    How much is a fliter. Local garage wants 50 euro to do the job. If I get it done for under 30 myself that would be great

    Filter will be 6 to 8 euro, no point in changing the oil without changing the filter
