Please help this armchair golfer and you take as given that I know that on days 3 and 4 the players go out in twos with the leading two players last out.

I was watching Bubba Watson and Justin Rose on the 18th tonight in the WGC. Rose three-putted which left him on -14, level with Keegan Bradley but the commentator was immediately able to say that Bradley and not Rose would play with Bubba tomorrow.

Given that Bradley and Rose were joint second, exactly what determines which of them joins Bubba in the last group on Sunday? Since Rose bogied the 18th and Bradley got par, I'm thinking there is a hole by hole rollback or in this case, is it because Bradley had the better third round?

It's because Bradley handed in his card first. Basically it's first in, last out if scores are tied.

Yeah, on tied scores whoever had their card in first takes that spot. I'm not sure what would happen if Bradley and Rose had been playing together and tied.
