    Anyone remember this frightening place?

The music in that town is the entire reason why i don't wan't to go back to the Kanto region EVER!!! I remember having goosebumps when i came out of that dark cafe, finally thinking i was safe and BAM no not safe at all! I'm in a haunted ghost town:eek:
And the dread i feel when i think about it, even to this day haunts me:pac:

What was your scariest nintendo moment?

Gohma from the great deku tree dungeon would be up there too, for me:P

Eternal Darkness. If you have to ask, the answer is beyond you.

The moon from majoras mask used to creep the hell out of me!! :p

I'll put it in spoilers but I'm sure everyone's played Skyward Sword anyway. Scariest, or at least the part of the game that got my heart racing was
Collecting the tears in the silent realm
It's the one I can think of offhand

Leave Tingle Alone he is a hero.

This guy on the other hand freaked me out.

Tingle is the Jar Jar Binks of Zelda!

    Kalloooooompa!

Re-deads also scare the bejesus out of me, when they jump on your head and you can't shake them off!

And Bongo Bongo of Ocarina of Time. Totally agree with Skyward Sword silent realms too *shivers*

The whole game of Luigi's Mansion. Boos everywhere! And when you're in a dark room and the lights are off and a ghost appears in the mirror. And the Shy Guy party on the roof!!

I also get pretty scared in Super Mario when the countdown goes to 100 and the music speeds up

    Master of the Universe

The laugh at 12 seconds and 1 minute 11 sec still unsettles be bejasus out of me.

Part of the reason I don't like OOT that much :(

Remember when the redead see you in oot? that blood curdling scream?:O

And at night in hyrule field, those skeleton things?

@Princess peach:Tingle is a thing of genius, unrivaled in all of miyamoto's other creations:P

Metroid Prime had a few chilling moments. The lights going out in the Phendrana Labs and then being attacked by the shock troopers and Metroids was unsettling. Also the entire underground section of the Phazon Mines was a claustrophobic nightmare, until you get the Phazon Suit that is! You never forget your first Hunter Metroid!

The Wallmasters in Zelda OOT were bastards too. You were constantly looking at your shadow in case one of them got you. The entire Forest Temple was creepy, must have been that music.

Not a Nintendo game per se but the scariest game I ever played was Resident Evil Remake on the GCN

Usually when they announce new pet simulations, I get a chill down my spine.

For scares nothing beats Super Metroid. The boss that you kill by knocking into the acid... I'll leave it at that but if you've played the game you'll know I'm right.

You've got to nail that bastard at the very start with super missiles or else you're wasting your time! Kraid was scary but only because he was an ugly looking thing!

I like to think of Vorash as an adolescent version of Crocomire! :D

When ever SA-X showed up in Metroid Fusion, especially when you were hiding from it and hoping it wouldn't just blast it's way through to you. Also +1 on the ReDeads. I always imagined that they were the townsfolk I had just seen as child Link.

I used to be terrified by the last few in-game hours of Majora's Mask's three day timespan when I first played it, I was so reluctant to attempt any task that required you to stick around for that long (like the Anju/Kafei story). There's just such a strong sense of death's inevitability... between the amazingly chilling music, the tremoring, and the huge looming moon with its empty, manic stare, it really feels completely hopeless.

Giygas, Earthbound. Still manages to be pretty jarring, in the best sense, even with the general tone of the game.

I was getting freaked out here too. But then I muted the volume and it was a much less stressful experience.

And, despite it being a hoax, this is still some creepy stuff: Haunted Majora's Mask Cartridge

How could I forget. That fight is the most disturbing thing I've experienced in a game.

First challenging the 3rd Bowser in Mario 64, most unnerving moment I've been through playing the 64! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPnJBTRdp54. I was about 7 att, and got him the first try - I was well chuffed :p
