    Hi,

Yeah went to one a few years ago - MASSIVE queue in the morning so get there early. I thought it was good but you'd just be lucky to find something for your house. I'd say it'd be best for new home owners but also has some great mantle mirrors and big pieces for the established person!

Everything at these are damaged in some way. And they dont tell you until you ask. Some things are obvious like a chip in a frame, but other things you wont notice until you get it home.
Be sure to ask the staff where the damage is before you buy.

I was there on Sunday - arrived about 10.40am, probably around 100-150 people already in queue - I'd say around double that behind us by the time they opened at 11.00am.

We're moving to a new house so we were looking for white goods mostly, ended up getting a decent washing machine and drier for about €350 cheaper between them than list price. They only had a couple of fridges and cookers/ovens. They didn't have any details on what was available before hand so you're basically buying blind, but when I got home I googled the makes we bought and they got very good reviews on comparrison websites and were considerably cheaper than elsewhere.

Most people there seemed to be buying pillows and duvets from what I could make out, within 10mis of the door opening it was jammed with people. There were a few widesceen tv's some chairs, sodas and beds and a good few smaller electrical appliances - didn't really price any of these so not sure what the value was like.

If you're planning to go in the future - get there early, get your stuff and get the hell out. It's not a place from a pleasant browse.

Was there myself yesterday, got there early and was up the top of the line...

Everything was last years RRP marked down to a more realistic price, I have just bought my first home so I needed everything. I done a lot of homework the week leading up to it and had ideas & prices of everything I needed. They were selling Dysons Dc29's for 299 and they were only 279 in currys the same weekend. They were selling Morphy Richards kettels for 80euro and they were the same price in Dunnes the week leading to it. They were selling samsung Bluray players & speaker sets for 299 and they are cheaper for the newer model in currys. Kenwood Chef's for 299 and they were again, cheaper in currys.

You could tell the items that were cheap - and they were the duvets and the pillows as everyone was buying them, I got a King size microfiber duvet for 35 and pillows for 10 each... oh and a samsonite cabin sized suitcase for 45.

I asked when I was leaving if the stuff doesn't sell what will they do - and the guy said "just send it back to the shops and sell it at these prices - they wont be reduced further today"

I went yesterday and everything that was electric was the same price as amazon. So they're was no saving. Like the only decent thing I seen was a nazzuti sofa 2 arm chairs and a 3 seater for €2,999 from €7,000 which I doubt it was €7,000 as my parents paid €5000 for the same spec 6 years ago and it was made to order. They're was a decent temper mattress for €1,499 as they're usually €2,500.

But we asked one of the employees and she said most of it isn't arnotts stuff. A lot of it is delivered by suppliers for them to sell apparently. Tbh they're was no must have bargains. Maybe cause I was late. But I think the real value from any of those thing was in 2007 & 2008 when retailers brought **** loads of stock which they couldn't sell because no one was buying anything
