Have to paint the wood work in a hall stairs and landing, there's quite a bit of it. It's all been keyed/sanded. Was previously White gloss, will be going for a White satin finish.

I'm wondering is it worth trying one coat paint on the wood work? Or just do the usual under and overcoat. What have peoples experiences been with one coat paint? Is it worth the trouble?

You still need to use undercoat with one coat paint, also a suitable sealer for the wood
    IMO it's not worth it

Ah you can do it with the like of Dulux Satin finish, but it all depends on the condition of the woodwork. If the woodwork is clean enough then fire away, but if its grubby then some might need a flick over. The only thing you might find with the one coat trick is that it doesnt last as long as a good two coat system.

Just dont lay it on thick as it will gather and sag.
