Renault Clio 03 not starting

My Clio used to start when cold but not when warm or hot and just got worse now I have to ouch start it :'( mechanic said its the starting motor and it's €130 TO FIT! I'm handy enough and wondering is it simple enough to do? Any help greatly appreciated thanks :)
