I'm looking for a cheapish headset which allows me to talk (and hear others) on skype whilst also hearing game sounds at the same time.

I'd rather not spend much over 50. Any suggestions?

So what sort of systems are you thinking?

Do you want to use the headset for PS3/Vita for Gaming and then Skype on your PC/Laptop?

Gaming headset for PS3, which allows me to talk and listen to people on skype and hear in game sounds too.

I have doubts of a headset being paired to more than one concurrent device. So it's either the PS3 OR PC [for Skype].

You definitely can. For some you need a mix amp but others have multiple wires which allow you to do this.

i got a headset for around €12 in GAME, i think i am heard ok but i could not hear the other players as clearly as i would have liked with the surround sound set up. I would recommend the same headset if you could route other people mics into its earpiece, it seems to put all through one or the other speaker

This doesnt help the skype issue though,
I think you can pair to many Bluetooth devices but how will it distinguish between which sound it outputs? ie game sound or skype ?

Did you find one in the end?

Wouldn't mind something the same myself.
