    Girls Soccer:
After a number of meetings between the Carlow & District Juveniles League and the FAI it was decided that a plan was to be put in place in order to facilitate “Girls Soccer” within the Carlow & District Juveniles League. The Stats are there to show that Girls play Soccer, Primary Schools Competitions are a great example of Girls participating in the game when a proper structure is put in place. St Josephs FC in Tinryland play in the Kilkenny league and have already produced an U17 International in Lauren Dwyer who has also played in the Gaynor Cup for South Leinster along with Aoibheann Webb.
    The plan is a follows:
4 Blitz Days to help promote the game and give Girls an opportunity to play. The dates of these days are Saturday 10th March, Saturday 24th March, Saturday 31st March and Saturday 7th April. St Josephs FC in Tinryland will be the host venue for the first session. The games will kick off @2.00pm – 4.00pm and will be 5, 6 and 7 a side games. Girls from U10s to U14s are invited to attend with the emphasis on players playing in Small Sided Games, getting plenty of touches on the ball, having fun in a safe environment.
We are asking clubs to get the word out to their own club members and help us promote the development of Girls Soccer at local level. We are looking for assistance on the day so if you can help please get in touch with the Carlow & District Juveniles League www.carlowjuvsoccer.com
